2019 Film/Music Explosion!: Call for Proposals

Film/Music Explosion!: Call for Proposals

Since 2003, the Film/Music Explosion! has opened each night of the 3-day Artifact Film Festival. The Film/Music Explosion! is an opportunity for local emerging filmmakers to create a Super 8 film based on a song. Each film is accompanied by a live performance of the song during the festival.

This year’s Film/Music Explosion will feature the following bands:

Chief n’ Council: Holy Ghost (Presented by CJSW)

Chief n’ Council come from the prairies of Siksika Nation, Alberta. Their music is presented as a mix of alternative and rock heavily influenced by a rural lifestyle on the Rez. With roots from Treaty 6, 7 & 8 Chief N’ Council bring a glimpse of their world through a combination of drums, sage, sweetgrass and guitar. MORE
