LEVERS preceeded by NaAC Super 8 films

We are incredibly excited to host the Alberta Premiere of Rhayne Vermette’s LEVERS! Shot in saturated 16mm film on broken Bolex cameras, Levers mixes in-camera fx with a delicate eye for beauty, portraying an exploration of communal mourning through a potent mixture of the rarity of fantasy and the idleness of the everyday. This feature length film is preceded by a screening and Q+A of Super 8 films by filmmakers from the National accessArts Centre featuring new work from Kathy M. Austin, Matthew O'Dwyer, Paul Brain, Alicia Morrison, Piper Watson, Travis Ayton, Shelley Howard, Devin Hyndman, Carla Salter, Dan Cardinal McCartney, and Sara Richardson-Moody.
